Introduction to life linked with death linked with life
All life makes itself food for all life. From spring to winter to spring again life comes, dies and comes again. The poet takes note and feels impelled to speak up. This poet sees death as something less than termination and more as transformation. Our individual lives and deaths are part of a universe where every bit of matter, living and seemingly not living, expresses itself in infinite forms while remaining matter. The forms of water, liquid, solid ice and gaseous steam change but water continues as H2O. So too with us. Our journey from life to death is a process of changing forms while the substance that is us remains. So too our journey from death to life. These poems celebrate just that.
